Trip to Cabin

Greg and I decided to take a trip to the cabin and celebrate our anniversary. As we were going up the main road, we saw this poor trailer and awning that apparently didn't have a very good winter--a little too much snow. The poor trailer had a broken axle, broken window, broken cinder blocks that it was sitting on. A really rough winter. Some other trailers we saw didn't fair very well either.

Trip to Cabin

We weren't sure how we would get to the cabin. This is the season when the snow is melting, mud is plentiful, but there are still places where the 4-wheeler may not make it through the snow, but too much mud for the snowmobile. This was as far as we could go with the wheeler, at the meadow where you turn to Thad's Peak. We did, finally, find a place where there was enough snow to unload the snowmobiles. It only took us about 7 hours from when we left our house to make it to the cabin.

Trip to Cabin

As you can see there is still a lot of snow at the cabin. While we were there we had a few visitors: Mike and Mindy with Shane and Rebecca. We had a good time enjoying the snowmobiles. It was a great trip.

Shelby's Baptism

Shelby is our beautiful daughter who just turned eight. She was patient enough to wait an extra month before she was baptized. She was so anxious once the time finally came. It was great to have her brother baptize her. We are so proud of both of them. It was a terrific day and celebration.
