Trent's Big Buck!

Greg and Trent hunted in Colorado last year. Trent shot this monster 31" mully with his muzzleloader. The deer scored 195. HUGE!!! He had to have it mounted and has replaced a shelf that was on my wall. (I can't decide if I should be upset that something else is on my wall or proud that he was successful. I'm going for the proud Mom of the mighty hunter!) You can see the proud hunter throughly enjoys studying it.

Prom was Awesome!

It doesn't matter how old you are. The experience of Prom is one to always remember. Trent and Nic had a great time. It was really fun to see them dress up and look so incredibly sharp. I received numerous comments from others as to how nice it was to see the girls in modest dresses. They look so beautiful. Trent even said, "It was kind of fun dressing up!" Formal opportunities can be enjoyed.

Renaissance Day

Lexi's class has been learning about the Renaissance period. As a culminating activity they had a Renaissance Day. The kids dressed up, played games of the period, and watched real jousting and sword fights. Brittney was a knight and looked awesome in her outfit.

Spring Break

Spring Break for our family was celebrated in Las Vegas. Marissa had a cheerleading competition so we decided to take the family along to support and cheer for her. We squished all of us into a two room suite at the hotel, but all enjoyed the swimming pool. The cheerleading squad took second and performed very well. As we were trying to get back to our hotel we found a street with a very familiar name.

Mission Call Arrival

We were expecting Trent's mission call on April 1. Yes we understood that is April Fool's day, but we didn't believe anyone would really play a joke on us. A call did not come from the post office, the letter did not show up in the mail, and so we began to wonder if it truly was a joke. Ali, Trent's aunt, was not working the next day so no early morning call then either. The long anticipated envelope finally appeared in the regular mail April 2. It was a long wait until everyone was home and we were able to open it. Trent was even shaking as he tried opening the envelope. With a big grin on his face, Trent announced "Seattle Washington on July 8". We are all very excited!!

Tooling Around in the Rhino

Greg and I have spent some time the last few weekends enjoying rides out West in our little 4 digging machine. We found some steep roads with some pretty scenery. Greg even made me get out of one of the steep spots. We found some pretty views from the west side of Utah Lake. There was still quite a bit of snow, so we weren't able to go as far as we wanted.

Trip to Cabin

Greg and I decided to take a trip to the cabin and celebrate our anniversary. As we were going up the main road, we saw this poor trailer and awning that apparently didn't have a very good winter--a little too much snow. The poor trailer had a broken axle, broken window, broken cinder blocks that it was sitting on. A really rough winter. Some other trailers we saw didn't fair very well either.
